Experience Natural Healing With Laser Therapy

laser therapy on a patients armAt Parkside Health & Wellness Center, one of our greatest passions is to provide effective, drug-free health-promoting solutions at our practice. That’s why we chose to invest in a Class IV laser, which promotes healing of various soft tissue injuries. Stop suffering with knee pain, shoulder pain, elbow pain, neck pain, lower back pain, sciatica, disc pains, as well as many other issues without drugs or surgery.

How Does It Work?

Laser therapy is light energy that stimulates the energy centers known as mitochondria cells to speed up their ability to repair. The light energy only stimulates damaged cells, so it has no effect on healthy cells, thereby stimulating the healing of damaged tissue. At Parkside Health & Wellness Center, we’re happy to offer this powerful way to naturally stimulate the tissues to heal.

Who May Benefit?

Here are some common conditions that can benefit from laser therapy:

  • Disc-related injuries
  • Frozen shoulder
  • Golfer’s elbow
  • Hip bursitis
  • Ligament sprains
  • Muscle strains
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Tendonitis
  • Tennis elbow

Benefits of Laser Therapy

One of the greatest benefits of laser therapy is it’s a natural way to speed up your body’s natural healing ability. Laser therapy also relieves pain, reduces inflammation, and accelerates tissue repair.

Another important benefit of laser therapy is that it can be an effective alternative to drugs, shots and surgery.

What Does It Feel Like?

Because the Class IV laser isn’t a cold laser, it might feel warm. Depending on the type of skin and its pigmentation, it can feel hot. In which case, we either reduce the strength of the laser, remove it or do ice between sessions. Each session typically takes 10-15 minutes.

How Many Sessions Will I Need?

It is hard to say as everyone heals at different rates. Miracle cases are done in 5-6 sessions, but on average it usually takes more. This is dependent on the injury, and the individuals ability to heal. Acute treatment sessions are usually performed every other day for two weeks to start. At that time we will assess the need for more sessions if at all. Chronic patients may need care over the duration of weeks to a months.
