SOT

Harp

This technique is especially interested in the “tone” or the tightness of your spinal cord, along with how that impacts your body.

SOT also known as Sacro Occipital Technique, the “blocking technique,” is well known by many for the use of 2 wedge shaped blocks. Although there is much more to the technique than just the blocks, many lower back and disc patients get great relief simply by laying on them.

The Foundation

The base of the spine is the pelvis. It is the foundation for the lower back and spine. If this base loses its integrity, the stability of the entire spine above it can be lost.

The Cranium

Sutural distortion, or meningeal tension can cause a great deal of problem with the spine, TMJ, and the entire body. This bony covering of the brain is very important, and has been documented to flex and extend on a microscopic level with normal breathing. If this is affected, it can alter the flow of CSF (cerebro spinal fluid)

Blocking the Spine & Pelvis

By knowing exactly where to position these blocks, we use the weight of your body to make corrections, naturally. we are able to affect the tailbone, SI joints, and the discs of the lower back gently, yet powerfully with SOT.

Safe and Comfortable

By using gravity and your own body to effect correction, new healthier patterns of spinal function can result. Along with safe, consistent results, SOT is known for emphasizing patient comfort.
